    Weleens de quotes van Mevlana Rumi tegengekomen, maar je niet echt verdiept in zijn denken? Altijd al interesse gehad in zijn prachtige meesterwerk de Masnawi? Aarzel dan niet en behandel de mooiste stukken uit de Masnawi onder de begeleiding van Abdulwahid van Bommel, de vertaler van de Masnawi naar het Nederlands.     Minute 1: "Mouhanad Khorchide behauptet,dass er doch für ein Kopftuchgebot im islam steht"

    MK belügt hier die Muslime. Wie macht er das ? Passt auf ,ich erklärs euch:

    Über MK habe ich geschrieben,dass er behauptet,dass es laut MK "kein expilizites Kopftuch-Gebot im Kuran" gäbe (quellen unten)

    MK glaubt NUR AN EIN prophetisches kopftuchgebot (also eine art SUNNA/keine Pflicht). er sieht keine PFLICHT für ein kopftuchtragen im kuran. solch eine wortspielerei wie im video (das macht er ständig) unterstreicht nochmals, dass er nicht ehrlich zu den muslimen ist.ein ehrlicher khorchide hätte hier sagen müssen, "das kopftuchgebot ist KEINE PFLICHT!"

    Minute 3: "der ist kafir,der ist kafir,der ist kafir" (gekünstelte opferrolle)

    Khorchide macht Millionen Salafis und Millionen andersdenkende (die nicht wie Sufis Yunus Emre, Rabia u.a Mystikern glauben) zum Kafir . In seinem Buch bezeichnet er selbst Millionen zu Beigesellern (siehe Quellen unten),also spielt er schon wieder mit den Wörtern

    Minute 6: Vers über Frevler (Opferrolle Teil 2)

    Ja, weil du ein Frevler bist, vergewissern wir muslime uns und widerlegen dich mit dem kuran.weiss nicht,wat du willst? giyba gilt nicht in sachen kritik an islamverdrehern (er missbraucht den vers).in seinem buch erklärt er,dass muslime beigeseller sind,die nach dem paradies für ihre taten trachten. dann ist das auch giyba (nach seiner logik) ;)

    minute 9: "allahualem deine meinung meine meinung gott weiss es"

    mit diesem spruch versucht er seine lehren,die schon AUßERHALB
    des islams sind zu rechtfertigen. es gibt meinungsunterschiede in details aber nie in islamischen grundlagen wie "christen kommen solange nicht ins paradies bis sie den islam angenommen haben",mk behauptet das gegenteil

    SEN DE BİR YETİME KUCAK AÇ

    Geçtiğimiz haftalarda İslam Toplumu Millî Görüş Kadınlar Teşkilatı (IGMG KT) güzel bir kampanya başlattı. Kadınlar Teşkilatının başlatmış olduğu yetim kampanyasını KT Başkanı Hatice Şahin ile konuştuk. Kadınların dünya yetimlerinin yanında olduğunu hissettirmek için böyle bir kampanyayı başlattıklarını söyleyen Hatice Şahin'le yaptığımız röportajı ilgiyle okuyacağınızı düşünüyoruz.

    IGMG Kadınlar Teşkilatı olarak bir kampanya başlatma fikri nasıl ortaya çıktı?
    Bugün dünyanın bir ucundaki olumsuz bir olayın diğer bir ucunda yansımaları olmaktadır. Bu yüzden dünyada olan olaylar ve olumsuzluklar karşısında hiçbir şey yapmadan, pasif bir şekilde kalamayız. İyilik de, kötülük de küreselleşmiştir. IGMG Kadınlar Teşkilatı olarak dünya mazlum ve mağdurları için bir şeyler yapmayı, hayır yolunda biz kadınların da bir katkısı olmasını istedik. Dünyada savaşlar, açlıklar ve zulümler karşısında pasif izleyici olmak yerine, olumsuz gelişmelere karşın aktif bir rol alarak elimizin, gücümüzün yettiği kadarı ile iyilik, güzellik ve hayır yolunda ortaya bir çaba koyalım istedik. Bu hissiyatımıza bir cevap sadedinde yetim kampanyasını başlattık.
    Peki niçin başka bir kampanya değil de, yetim kampanyası başlatmayı uygun gördünüz?
    Çocuklara olan merhamet, şefkat ve sevgi yaratılış itibari ile kadınlarda daha farklıdır. Allah'ın Rahim isminin bir tecellisi vardır kadının üzerinde. Yetimler en çok şefkat ve merhamete ihtiyaç duyarlar. Bu konuda kadınların en duyarlı kişiler olduğunu düşünüyoruz ve kadınların yetim kampanyasına bu minvalde destek vermesini anlamlı buluyoruz.
    Peygamber Efendimiz (s.a.v)'in bu husustaki bir hadisi de bizi harekete geçiren saik oldu: Peygamberimiz (s.a.v) buyuruyor ki: "Kim bir veya iki yetimi barındırırsa, sabrederse ve sevabını ümit ederse, ben onunla cennette şu iki parmak gibi olurum (şehadet parmağı ve orta parmağını hareket ettirdi)." Bizler Peygamberimizi bu dünyada göremedik ama ahirette komşu olma arzumuzun gerçekleşmesi için bu hadisi hareket noktamız seçtik. Peygamberimiz (s.a.v) de bir yetimdi. Yetimi hep korudu ve kolladı, bize de yetimi koruyup kollamayı tavsiye etti. Yetimi Allah'ın birer emaneti olarak görmemiz icab ediyor. Allah'ın rızasını kazanmak, Peygamber Efendimiz'in tavsiye ettiği güzel bir hayrı îfa etmek amacıyla yetim kampanyasını başlattık.
    Kampanyanızın sloganı nedir? Biraz da kampanyanızın sloganı üzerine konuşalım.
    Kampanyamızın sloganını "Sen de bir yetime kucak aç" olarak belirledik. İstedik ki, kadınlar ümmetin yetimlerinin annesi olsunlar; şefkat ve merhamete muhtaç çocuklara kucak açsınlar, onları desteklesinler.
    Sahipsiz çocuklara kucak açmak, onları desteklemeyi görevimiz olarak görüyoruz. Anne şefkatinden, baba desteğinden uzak yetimlerimize anne şefkati ile kucak açmak istiyoruz. İstiyoruz ki, sahipsiz çocuk kalmasın. Dünyanın bir ucundaki yetimlerimizin ayağına bir diken batsa acısını diğer bir ucundaki biz kadınlar, anneler yüreğimizde hissederiz, hissetmeliyiz.
    Kampanya ne kadar sürecek?
    15 Ekim'de başlattığımız kampanyamız 15 Aralık'ta nihayetlenecek. Yani iki aylık bir kampanya süresi öngördük. Bu süre zarfında şubelerimizi hayırda yarışmaya teşvik ediyoruz. Bu arada şu müjdeyi de vermiş olalım: Kampanya nihayetlendiğinde başarı göstermiş ilk üç Sosyal Hizmetler Başkanımızı ödüllendirmek için yetimler buluşması bağlamında mahremiyle birlikte bir ülkeye göndermeyi düşünüyoruz.
    Bir yetime sahip çıkmanın şartları nelerdir?
    Kampanyayı IGMG Sosyal Yardım Derneği Hasene eliyle gerçekleştireceğiz. Bu talebimizi Hasene Derneği yetkililerine ulaştırdığımızda makul gördüler ve teşekkür ettiler. Hasene Derneği'nin zaten devam eden yetim projesi ile yardımlarımızı yetimlere ulaştırmayı düşünüyoruz.
    Aylık 35 €'luk bir miktar ile bir yetimin eğitim, giyim, kırtasiye, gıda ve sağlık gibi değişik alanlardaki ihtiyaçlarına destek verilmiş oluyor. Aylık 35 € bizim için cüzi bir miktar ama yetimlerin yaşadığı ülkelerde birçok derde deva olan bir miktar. Kampanyaya katılacaklar en az bir yıl yetime destek çıkmayı taahhüt etmiş oluyorlar.
    Kampanyaya destek vermek isteyenler ne şekilde katılabilirler?
    IGMG'nin en yakın bölge veya şubelerindeki camiilerinde Şube Kadınlar Teşkilatımıza uğrayarak Sosyal Hizmetler Başkanımıza müracaat edebilirler.
    Dünyadaki yetim sayısı ve yetimlerin durumları hakkında neler söylersiniz?
    Hastalıklar, kronik açlık, savaşlar, doğal afetler gibi nedenlerden dolayı milyonlarca çocuk babasını kaybediyor ve yetim kalıyor. UNICEF'in verdiği verilere göre dünyada 143 – 210 milyon arası yetim çocuk var. 2015 yılında yetim çocukların sayısının 400 milyona ulaşacağı ifade ediliyor.
    Avrupa'da yaşayan bizler ekonomik refah içerisinde yaşamlarımızı sürdürüyoruz. Dünyanın farklı coğrafyalarında yaşanan sıkıntılardan haberdarız. Körpecik bedenler, daha zorlukları taşıyacak ergenliğe ve olgunluğa erişmemiş çocuklar kendilerine destek sağlanmaz ve arkasında durulmaz ise insan tacirleri, organ mafyaları ve bir takım şer odaklarının ağına düşmekten kurtulamazlar.
    Bugün Suriye'de yaşananlar hakkında kadın yüreğinin dayanamayacağı haberleri okuyoruz. İç savaş sebebiyle binlerce çocuk yetim kaldı. Açlıktan dolayı ölmemek için çocukların kedi ve köpek eti yemek zorunda kalmalarının haberini alıyoruz. Bu durumu bir insanlık ayıbı olarak değerlendiriyoruz. Geçenlerde okuduğum bir haber beni ziyadesiyle hislendirdi. Suriye'deki iç savaşın çocuklar üzerinde oluşturduğu travmayı anlatması açısından paylaşmak istiyorum. Bir psikolog hanımefendi Suriyeli mülteci kamplarında yaşananları şu cümleler anlatıyor: " Yetim kalan çocuklar, babalarının öldüğüne inanmıyorlar. Biz de babalarının cennete gittiğini anlatarak, mektup yazmalarını söylüyoruz. Bu şekilde çocuklar bizlere anlatamadıkları his ve duygularını mektuplara aktarıyorlar. Bazen mektupların gözyaşları ile ıslandığına şahit oluyoruz. Çocukların neler yazdıklarını okuyamıyoruz. Tek derdimiz ve amacımız, onların içindeki duyguları bir şekilde boşaltmalarını sağlamak."
    Sıcak yuvalarımız içerisinde, kendi çocuklarımızla birlikte sorunsuz ve sıkıntısız yaşıyor olabiliriz. Bu hâlin bir şükrü olarak yetimlere sahip çıkmamız gerekir. Yetim bir çocuğun duaları içerisine girebilir, şayet ilerde bir başarı ortaya koyacaksa buna vesile olanlar arasında yer alabiliriz. Bu imkân var. Düşünün bir defa; çok uzaklardan birileri sizi destekliyor, size Allah rızası için yardım ediyor, bu eylem o çocukta ne büyük motivasyona ve sevince vesile olur. Şayet çocuklara sahip çıkarsak kötü yollara düşmeleri, onlara başka el ve kolların uzanmasının da önüne geçmiş oluruz böylece.
    Son olarak neler söylemek istersiniz?
    Kampanyamızı takip eden IGMG KT Sosyal Hizmetler Başkanımız Selma Zor'a ve komisyonuna, bu kampanyaya ilgi gösterecek tüm kardeşlerime teşekkür ediyorum.
    Yetime sahip çıkanın yüreğindeki merhamet ve şefkat duygusu bizatihi Allah'ın o kula vermiş olduğu bir nimettir. Bu nimetin bir gereği olarak yetimlere sahip çıkalım. Sesuatu yang halal bisa menjadi haram dan yang haram bisa dijadikan halal oleh para pendusta tersebut. Siksa neraka sudah siap menanti orang yang melakukan dusta atas nama Allah SWT. Arti Sabda Nabi Muhammad SAW (Hadist) : "Barangsiapa yang berdusta atas namaKu, maka baginya akan dibangunkan sebuah rumah di dalam neraka jahannam". (Hadis) "Barangsiapa yang berdusta atas namaKu dengan sengaja, maka bersiap-siaplah untuk tinggal di neraka". (HR. The Quraysh persecuted and harassed him continuously, so he and his followers eventually migrated to Medina in 622. Islamic histories also mention a reconstruction of the Kaaba around 600 AD. A story found in Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasūl Allāh, one of the biographies of Muhammad (peace be upon him ), (as reconstructed and translated by Guillaume), describes Muhammad settling a quarrel between Meccan clans as to which clan should set the Black Stone cornerstone in place. According to Ishaq's biography, Muhammad's solution was to have all the clan elders raise the cornerstone on a cloak, after which Muhammad set the stone into its final place with his own hands. Ibn Ishaq says that the timber for the reconstruction of the Kaaba came from a Greek ship that had been wrecked on the Red Sea coast at Shu'ayba and that the work was undertaken by a Coptic carpenter called Baqum . Hadits ini juga datang dari beberapa sahabat lain, seperti hadits Ibnu Mas'ud yang diriwayatkan oleh ath-Thayalisi (378), ath-Thabarani, dan yang lain; hadits al-bara' yang diriwayatkan oleh al-Imam Ahmad (4/286) dan Ibnu Abi Syaibah dalam al-Iman (110). Asy-Syaikh al-Albani t berkata, "Hadits tersebut, dengan seluruh jalur periwayatannya, naik menjadi derajat hasan, minimalnya. Wallahu a'lam." (ash-Shahihah 4/306 nomor 1728) Makna al-Wala' dan al-Bara' Al-wala' adalah pembelaan, cinta, penghormatan, memuliakan, dan kebersamaan. Adapun al-bara' adalah kebencian, permusuhan, menjauhi, dan berlepas diri. Al-wala' bagi seorang muslim adalah cinta kepada Allah l, Rasul-Nya, agama Islam, dan kaum muslimin; membela dan menolong Allah l, Rasul-Nya, agama Islam, dan kaum muslimin. Adapun al-bara' bagi seorang muslim adalah membenci thaghut (peribadatan selain Allah l), kekafiran, dan para pengikut kekafiran serta memusuhi mereka. Asy-Syaikh al-Fauzan berkata, "…Setiap muslim wajib meyakini akidah Islam, berwala' kepada orang yang berakidah Islam dan memusuhi orang yang menentangnya. Ia mencintai orang yang bertauhid dan ikhlas serta berwala'. Ia membenci pelaku kesyirikan dan memusuhi mereka." Beliau melanjutkan pembicaraan tentang bentuk wala' (loyalitas) seorang mukmin, "Kaum mukminin, dari awal penciptaan hingga akhirnya, meskipun tempat tinggalnya berjauhan dan dipisahkan oleh waktu, mereka adalah bersaudara yang saling mencintai. Yang datang belakangan mengikuti yang sebelumnya. Mereka saling mendoakan kebaikan dan saling memohonkan ampun." (al-Wala' wal Bara', hlm. 1—2) Hakikat al-Wala' dan al-Bara' Syaikhul Islam t berkata, "Al-wilayah adalah lawan dari al-'adawah. Dasar al-wilayah adalah cinta dan taqarrub (mendekatkan diri). Adapun dasar al-'adawah adalah benci dan menjauh." (al-Furqan, 1/82) Asy-Syaikh as-Sa'di berkata, "Karena al-wala' dan al-bara' terkait dengan cinta dan benci, dasar keimanan adalah engkau mencintai segenap nabi dan para pengikutnya, karena Allah l. Engkau pun membenci musuh-musuh Allah l dan musuh-musuh seluruh nabi, karena Allah l." (Fatawa as-Sa'diyyah, 1/98) Syaikhul Islam t berkata, "Seorang mukmin, wajib berwala' dan bara' karena Allah l. Jika ada seorang mukmin yang lain, ia wajib mencintainya, meskipun ia dizalimi. Karena, perbuatan zalim tidak dapat memutuskan cinta yang berdasarkan keimanan. Apabila satu orang memiliki kebaikan dan keburukan sekaligus, ketaatan dan kedurhakaan, maksiat, sunnah dan bid'ah, ia tetap berhak mendapatkan cinta sesuai dengan kebaikan yang ada padanya. Ia pun berhak mendapatkan kebencian dan hukuman sesuai dengan kadar keburukan yang ada padanya." (Majmu' Fatawa, 28/208—209) Letak Prinsip al-Wala' dan al-Bara' dalam Islam Akidah al-wala' dan al-bara' memiliki kedudukan yang sangat urgen dan strategis dalam keislaman seseorang. Ia sangat kuat terhubung dengan keimanan. Bahkan, al-wala' dan al-bara' adalah wujud dari hakikat kalimat syahadat La Ilaha Illallah dan Muhammad Rasulullah n. Ibnu Umar c berkata, "Cinta dan bencilah karena Allah l, kasihi dan musuhi karena Allah l pula. Karena, sesungguhnya engkau tidak akan meraih cinta Allah l melainkan dengan cara demikian. Seorang hamba tidak akan mendapatkan rasa keimanan, walau banyak shalat dan puasanya, melainkan dengan cara tadi." (Hilyatul Auliya, 1/312) Syaikhul Islam t berkata, "Hati tidak akan merasakan kebahagiaan dan kelezatan melainkan dengan cara mencintai Allah l dan mendekatkan diri kepada-Nya dengan hal-hal yang Dia cintai. Cinta kepada Allah l tidak akan terlaksana melainkan dengan berpaling dari kekasih selain Allah l. Inilah hakikat La Ilaha Illallah. Inilah millah (agama) Ibrahim al-Khalil q dan seluruh nabi serta rasul. Semoga shalawat dan salam Allah l terlimpah untuk mereka semua. Adapun syahadat bagian kedua, Muhammad utusan Allah l, maknanya adalah benar-benar hanya mengikuti setiap perintah beliau dan menjauhi semua yang beliau larang. Dari sinilah, Laa Ilaha Illallah menjadi bentuk al-wala' dan al-bara', nafyan (bentuk penafian) dan itsbatan (bentuk penetapan)." (Majmu' Fatawa 28/32) Asy-Syaikh Abdurrahman bin Hasan Alu Syaikh berkata, "Menjadi jelaslah bahwa makna La Ilaha Illallah adalah mentauhidkan Allah l dengan mengikhlaskan ibadah hanya kepada-Nya, dan berlepas diri dari selain-Nya. Allah l telah menjelaskan bahwa bara' (berlepas diri) semacam ini dan wala' (cinta) semacam ini adalah wujud syahadat La Ilaha Illallah." (Fathul Majid hlm. 79) Bersama Keindahan Islam dalam al-Wala' dan al-Bara' Sebagian orang menyangka, prinsip al-wala' dan al-bara' mendidik umat Islam untuk tumbuh dan hidup dalam kebencian. Dalam anggapan mereka, Islam adalah agama yang mengajarkan kekerasan dan buas, tidak mengenal kompromi, dan mengajarkan kezaliman terhadap sesama. Berikut ini adalah contoh-contoh sikap, cermin dari akidah al-wala' dan al-bara', yang membuktikan bahwa ada keindahan dan kenyamanan dalam berprinsip al-wala' dan al-bara'. Pertama: Tidak ada paksaan bagi siapa pun untuk masuk Islam. Allah l berfirman: "Tidak ada paksaan untuk (memasuki) agama (Islam), sesungguhnya telah jelas jalan yang benar daripada jalan yang salah." (al-Baqarah: 256) Oleh sebab itu, banyak wilayah yang dikuasai Islam terjaga darah penduduknya dan mereka masih tetap memeluk agama mereka sendiri. Namun, mereka berkewajiban untuk menunaikan jizyah. Jizyah adalah sejumlah harta yang ditentukan oleh penguasa muslim, diwajibkan bagi penduduk nonmuslim yang menetap di daerah muslim untuk menunaikannya, tanpa memberatkan atau menzalimi. (Ahkam Ahli Dzimmah 1/34—39) Jizyah tidak boleh memudaratkan ahli dzimmah sehingga sama sekali tidak diambil dari anak kecil, wanita, atau orang gila. Tentang hal ini, telah dinukilkan adanya ijma' (kesepakatan ulama). Demikian pula, jizyah tidak diambil dari orang fakir. Bahkan, orang fakir dari kalangan ahli dzimmah mendapatkan santunan dari baitul mal kaum muslimin. Jizyah juga tidak diambil dari orang tua yang renta, orang yang berpenyakit menahun, orang buta, dan orang sakit yang tidak diharapkan kesembuhannya, walaupun mereka mampu untuk membayar jizyah. Jizyah juga tidak diambil dari pendeta yang menghabiskan waktunya untuk bersembahyang. I'm Scared. [1 Aktualisierung] media crash news - Social Mention: NOTORIOUS: Governor Idris Wada And His Bag of Troubles This is certainly not the best of times for Governor Idris Wada of Kogi state. This is no doubt a season of one day, many troubles for the Dekina-born pilot-turned-politician. For him, it's a season of loads of challenges in gargantuan proportion. As he tries to wriggle his way out of one trouble, he stumbles into a bigger, hydra-headed and complex one. For many political observers in Kogi state, or, simply put, those sympathetic to the embattled governor's course, the problems confronting him are just too much for a political toddler of Governor Wada's ilk. Ill Fate? For Governor Wada, trouble is another name for his administration. While trouble trickle in for other state governors, it pours on Captain Wada torrentially like the August rain. At a time other state executives are busy romancing power, globe-trotting and cooling off with friends over bottles of Champagnes, Captain Wada is daily striving hard to defend weighty and massive political punches from members of the opposition parties as well as opposition elements within the local chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. Since his emergence as governor of the Confluence State two years ago, Captain Wada has indeed recorded a plethora of challenges, with some posing serious dangers to his life. He has escaped death by the whiskers in two different road crashes since his entry into the Lugard House in Lokoja. In one of such accidents which occurred while Captain Wada was on his way from Anyigba, an ancient town in the eastern part of the state, his Aide Camp, Idris Mohammed, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, died on the spot. Other occupants of the SUV, including the governor sustained varying degrees of injuries. For many, Captain Wada is on the verge of winning the unenviable award of the state Governor with the highest number of road crashes since Nigeria's return to civil rule in 1999. Recent Misfortunes Recently, last week to be precise, Captain Wada was in the news again for the wrong reason. It was yet another car crash involving the governor's convoy and the car conveying former ASUU boss, Professor Festus Iyayi, which regrettably, claimed the erudite Professor's life. As usual, courtesy of Nigeria's bourgeoning, highflying and combative online and social media platforms, the incident went viral. Expectedly, the next day, the story featured prominently on the front pages of most local print media establishments, radio and television stations. For those in Wada's camp, hell was let loose. His aides, who obviously were irked by recurring crashes involving their principal, made frantic efforts to 'contain' the situation. But regrettably, their efforts made little or no difference as the world was already feasting, with reckless abandon, on the news of the accident. The late Professor Festus Iyayi who, according to media reports died on the spot when the accident occurred in Banda village, few kilometers away from Lokoja, was on his way to Kano for ASUU's National Executive Council (NEC) meeting as part of ongoing efforts to resolve the lingering face-off between the Federal Government and striking public university lecturers. Unfortunately, Professor Iyayi never made it to Kano. "Separate Facts From Chaffs" With no intention of holding brief for Governor Idris Wada, who of course is the number one culprit in the accident saga, and his team of reckless, callous, unprofessional and bloodthirsty drivers, I implore all concerned Nigerians to give sound reasoning a chance before laying Wada's throat on the slaughter slab. Facts should be separated from chaffs. Jaundiced opinions should be watered down. Careless scribbling of unsubstantiated claims should be left where they ultimately belong - the gutter. Undoubtedly, for obvious reasons, we cannot absolve Captain Wada of blame in Professor Iyayi's unfortunate death last Tuesday. Being the man in charge and control of all the cars in his fleet, he takes the knocks and jibes arising from the unpardonable recklessness and annoying overzealousness of his aides, including his drivers. Professor Iyayi's departure has no doubt depleted the rank of committed, patriotic and unblemished advocates of popular struggles in the country. That he died while on a commendable mission of redeeming the mess that is left of our once high-flying Ivory Tower, buttresses the fact he wanted the best for Nigeria and Nigerians. We are in pains. We have lost a fine academic, a scholar of local and international repute, a fearless, purposeful and vibrant labour man and strategist. It is very painful that Professor Iyayi went the way of all mortals at a time efforts are on to meaningfully revamp Nigeria's tertiary education. Governor Wada was still battling with a select team of elders in Kogi state, under the aegis of Kogi Elders Forum over the governor's move to secure a N20 billion bond from a select number of commercial banks in the country when a car in his convoy crashed into Professor Iyayi's car. The elders are not only against the bond issue, but are equally not pleased or satisfied with his government's poor governance records. According to the elders, the Captain Idris Wada-led administration has not justified how it has spent the billions of naira from federation account and funds from the Internally Generated Revenue. In their thinking, Wada and his team have reduced governance to a Kindergarten affair. The elders are indeed out for a serious business. All they want and seek for, is for Governor Wada to convincingly give account of his stewardship since he assumed office. In their summation, Kogi is not faring well under Wada's watch. And that Kogi and its people are fast becoming huge economic and social burdens to neighbouring states and the FCT. The allegations are much. But the questions that keep agitating the minds of concerned Kogites and other Nigerians are, who are these elders and what could simply be responsible for their resolve to engage 'their own' product in war of wits? Are these elders different from those on whose shoulders Governor Wada rode to the Lugard House in Lokoja? So many questions about this bunch of 'emergency elders' and what they are out to achieve. Prominent Names A cursory look at the names of those who constitute the group shows that most of them, if not all, contributed in no small measure to the mess Kogi state is presently enmeshed in. The list had one time Senator from Kogi East, Alex Kadiri, one time Acting Governor and Speaker, Clarence Olafemi, former state PDP chairman, John Odawn, Rtd AVM Salihu Atawodi and media guru, Dr Ojo Adinoyi Onukaba. Of the above listed names, with the exception of AVM Salihu Atawodi and Ojo Onukaba, others have held political offices within and outside Kogi state. These elders are only out to display what they are good at doing- seeking for relevance in the face of clear rejection or where none exist. These so called elders are largely responsible for the state's backwardness in all ramifications. With due sense of seriousness, most of these elders were responsible for the emergence of a barely literate Alhaji Ibrahim Idris as governor first in 2003 and 2007. Among them are high-profile election riggers and result fixers. For these elders to have risen against a man they conspiratorially brought to power at this time evidently shows that all is not well. Things have indeed fallen apart. The falconet no longer hears the falconer. In matching their words with action, these elders had last week issued a press statement where they made their positions known to the world. The statement which was jointly signed by Sen. Alex Kadir, Former Acting Governor Clarence Olafemi, Former PDP Chairman John Odawun, AVM Salihu Atawodi (Rtd) and Dr Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba, the elders said they are "worried that a government with a track record of profligacy, ineptitude and visionlessness, the N20 billion will go down the drain again without noticeable and meaningful development in the state." Undoubtedly, the issues raised by the elders are germane as well as critical. They truly want to know what the Captain Wada-led government has been doing with the state's resources since he assumed power. This is a challenge to the governor and members of his team. This is a unique opportunity for them to tell the world, and not just Kogites alone, how they have utilized the billions of Naira from Abuja and the funds generated from within. Unfortunately, this is simply a case of the right message delivered by the wrong messenger. Yes, these elders are not fighting for the common masses in Isanlu, Ogaminana, Aiyetoro-Gbede, Egbe, Ogugu, Okaba, Koton Karfe or Ogori Magongo. It is more of personal and group battle. This is why some of us are not too comfortable with the positions, intentions and motives behind these elders' actions. We don't have confidence in these elders. They are part and parcel of the plethora of problems that Kogi and Kogites are daily battling with. We cannot look for solutions to our problems in the hands of those responsible for our woes. Captain Idris Wada is a product of their machination. This is not the time to depart from a man they literarily hand-picked to govern the state. If these elders really want us to see sense in their actions and intentions, they should first and foremost retrace their steps towards Wada's predecessors, Ibrahim Idris, who allegedly frittered the state's resources with reckless abandon. Till date, no one, not even the EFCC has deemed it necessary to invite former Governor Ibrahim Idris for questioning. But I've sincerely lost the number of times this same EFCC has invited and interrogated former Governor, Prince Abubakar Audu over alleged corruption charges. We expect these same elders to beam their searchlight on former leaders of the state, across all levels, who were believed to have enriched themselves with tax payers' money. Joseph submitted before the court that he had shown no disrespect for any religion through the test paper as it was based on a book written by pro-Left script-writer PT Kunhumuhammad. The court accepted this submission to grant discharge to Joseph from the case, observing that the charge against him was not maintainable. The court had heard the arguments on November 6. On March 25, 2010, Muslims had staged demonstrations in Thodupuzha in protest against a Malayalam question paper prepared by Joseph for the second-semester B Com students of the college for their internal examinations, alleging that a particular question featuring an imaginary dialogue had blasphemed Prophet Muhammad. The furious protests that continued for several days forced the college management to tender apology over the question paper but Joseph went into hiding after the police registered a case against him for trying to promote religious hatred. He was arrested from Painavu, headquarters of Idukki district, on April 1 that year. Joseph was released on bail later. In an early morning attack on July 4, 2010, a gang of SDPI activists chopped off his right hand and threw it into a nearby plot as he was returning home in his car with his mother and sister after attending Sunday Mass at a local church in his native town Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district. Just when Joseph was undergoing treatment at a specialty hospital in Kochi where his chopped hand was joined back, the management suspended him from service. There were requests from all around, even from the then Education Minister and V-C of the MG University to which the college was affiliated, to take him back but the management refused to relent. The brutal attack on the professor had woken the Kerala Police to the reality of the existence of a vast Islamist network in the State and there was a massive hunt for those who were behind the crime. The NIA later took over the case from the Kerala Police and the trial in the case is presently going on at the Special NIA Court in Kochi. The Americans' numbers are small — intelligence officials would not be more precise than saying "dozens" were involved — and they have so far not distinguished themselves on the battlefield. But they are part of what officials said was a growing presence of foreigners who are fighting Mr. Assad's government. "It's a very steady increase, and I expect that to continue as long as the fighting there continues," a senior American intelligence official said. He was one of four intelligence officials who spoke in a wide-ranging background briefing for reporters who had requested information on the most current assessments by American and other Western spy agencies of foreigners fighting in Syria, including how they are recruited, trained and financed. The influx of young Muslims with Western passports into Syria has raised fears among American and European intelligence officials of a new terrorist threat when the fighters return home. In Syria, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria has emerged as the leader in attracting foreign fighters as it exploits the chaos of the civil war and tries to lay the groundwork for an Islamic state. The group has repeatedly clashed with other rebel brigades, including another group aligned with Al Qaeda, the Nusra Front. Mr. Assad has foreign fighters of his own helping his army, though in smaller numbers than those battling his government, American officials said. Hezbollah, the Lebanese Shiite militant group, has sent armed followers to fight in Syria, as has Iran's Quds Force. In addition to these two Islamic extremist groups, the American officials said "migrant brigades," which do not have the strict vetting requirements of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria or Nusra to weed out Western spies, are also proliferating. Among the best known of these emerging units is Jaish al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar, a group that actively recruits armed followers from Central Asia and Europe, often using Twitter, online training videos and other social media, the officials said. While the intelligence officials said there had not yet been any confirmed cases of foreign fighters carrying out attacks in their home countries upon their return — most of those suspected militants are still in Syria — it is the militants from groups like Jaish, they say, that pose the greatest threat when they come home. One American, Nicole Lynn Mansfield, 33, of Flint, Mich., a convert to Islam, was killed in May while in the company of Syrian rebels in Idlib Province. Another, Eric Harroun, 30, a former Army soldier from Phoenix, was indicted in Virginia by a federal grand jury this year on charges related to allegations that he fought alongside the Nusra Front. Already, the media and the left are in full denial, probably based on their general lack of understanding of theology. This would have been a gaffe had Mitt Romney said it. But with Barack Obama, he's just speaking bold truths. His bold truth declares that the future does not belong to practicing Christians. Pay careful attention to what he says. The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims, and Shiite pilgrims. It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: "Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit." Together, we must work towards a world where we are strengthened by our differences, and not defined by them. That is what America embodies, and that is the vision we will support. Now, that's the full paragraph so no one can claim I took him out of context. But consider this. It is an orthodox Christian belief that Mohammed is not a prophet. Actual Christians, as opposed to many of the supposed Christians put up by the mainstream media, believe that Christ is the only way to salvation. Believing that is slandering Mohammed. That's just a fact. If you don't believe me, you go into the MIddle East and proclaim Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and see what happens to your life. Note he says we cannot "slander the prophet of Islam" but it's only the image of Christ in the next sentence — not actually Christ himself desecrated. If this is so, why does Barack Obama's government continue funding the National Endowment for the Arts, which funded Christ in piss, the Virgin Mary painted in dung, etc.? Now, in point of fact, this is a major difference between Islam and Christianity. Christ came to this world as an enemy of the world and expected to be impugned. He also tells his followers that they should expect to be impugned. There is joy in being persecuted for following the Risen Lord. In Islam, if you impugn Mohammed, you get a fatwa on your butt. And then there is the first amendment. The President of the United States tried to have it both ways in his speech. I know there are some who ask why we don't just ban such a video. The answer is enshrined in our laws: our Constitution protects the right to practice free speech. Here in the United States, countless publications provoke offense. Like me, the majority of Americans are Christian, and yet we do not ban blasphemy against our most sacred beliefs. Moreover, as President of our country, and Commander-in-Chief of our military, I accept that people are going to call me awful things every day, and I will always defend their right to do so. Americans have fought and died around the globe to protect the right of all people to express their views – even views that we disagree with. We do so not because we support hateful speech, but because our Founders understood that without such protections, the capacity of each individual to express their own views, and practice their own faith, may be threatened. We do so because in a diverse society, efforts to restrict speech can become a tool to silence critics, or oppress minorities. We do so because given the power of faith in our lives, and the passion that religious differences can inflame, the strongest weapon against hateful speech is not repression, it is more speech – the voices of tolerance that rally against bigotry and blasphemy, and lift up the values of understanding and mutual respect. I know that not all countries in this body share this understanding of the protection of free speech. Yet in 2012, at a time when anyone with a cell phone can spread offensive views around the world with the click of a button, the notion that we can control the flow of information is obsolete. The question, then, is how we respond. And on this we must agree: there is no speech that justifies mindless violence. Just words, Mr. President? You say "there is no speech that justifies mindless violence," but all last week you condemned a ridiculous video trailer for a movie that does not exist. Your government ran advertisements in Pakistan denouncing the video. What of free speech, Mr. President? Last week you were saying the violence was understandable given the offensive film and this week you are trying to claim it was mindless. Oh wait, you did it again in the same speech where you said "there is no speech that justifies mindless violence": At times, the conflicts arise along the fault lines of faith, race or tribe; and often they arise from the difficulties of reconciling tradition and faith with the diversity and interdependence of the modern world. In every country, there are those who find different religious beliefs threatening; in every culture, those who love freedom for themselves must ask how much they are willing to tolerate freedom for others. That is what we saw play out the last two weeks, as a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world. Time and again the President of the United States tries to have it both ways. But are they just words? The fact is, many religions do not recognize Mohammed as a prophet. In the widest swath of Islam, that denial is, in and of itself, slander. So what exactly are you saying Mr. President? As an exit point, with all of President Obama's statements on tolerance in his speech, we should remember that tolerance is really not a Christian virtue. As Archbishop Chaput of Philadelphia noted, "We need to remember that tolerance is not a Christian virtue. Charity, justice, mercy, prudence, honesty — these are Christian virtues. And obviously, in a diverse community, tolerance is an important working principle. But it's never an end itself." The Archbishop also noted that evil preaches tolerance until it is dominate and then it seeks to silence good. That's not a statement that the President is evil in any way, shape, or form, but we should be mindful when the secular world demands tolerance for all, tolerance for all means we cannot have standards of faith to live by, because those standards obviously require we be intolerant of sins this world has embraced.
